Zoom’s H1 Handy Recorder Available for Pre-order Now

Zoom is excited to announce that pre-orders are now being taken at Zoom authorized dealers across the United States. The highly anticipated H1 Handy Recorder is Zoom’s smallest recorder yet, and features the same mic capsules as their H2 – the most popular handheld recorder in the world – along with a stylish, pocket-sized design.

The H1’s two onboard microphones are configured in an X/Y pattern, for stunning stereo imaging depth and clarity. Delivering crystal clear 24-bit/96 kHz stereo recordings, the H1 is perfect for music, songwriting, interviews, lectures, recitals, band practice and more.

I was lucky enough to demo the new H1 at Summer NAMM in Nashville a month ago and had nothing but good things to say. The “throw-it-in-your-back-pocket” portability makes the H1 the perfect tool for songwriters, students, professionals, and people who like to record their rants about the latest episode of “The Hills”. They also threw in a small reference speaker inside the module that allows you quick reference recordings to ensure you are capturing what you want to without whipping out the old headphones. With incredible clarity and a lot of the features from the H4 and previous H2, the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder is a must have for all of you busy folk who also happen to love nanotechnology.

Customers can visit authorized Zoom dealers or go online to pre-order H1s. All pre-ordered H1s will ship to customers on August 20. Customers can also purchase in stores on that date. The H1 has a street price of $99!
