Time is running out for Sonor’s 135th Anniversary Special Edition Snares

There is no better way for a company to commemorate an anniversary than offering special edition products to their loyal customers, is there? That is exactly what Sonor Drums did in August. This German drum manufacturer released two Special Edition Snares in commemoration of their 135 years of quality products since day one. Just be aware that the offer will be available only until the summer ends.

The first one is the Dave Langguth Special Edition Snare. Known most recently for touring with Nelly Furtado, Dave currently resides in Toronto where he teaches and maintains a constant performance schedule locally. His name-sake snare features 9 ply, 14”x 5” North American maple shell with a beautiful white sparkle finish. This drum comes with SQ2-based Black Chrome hardware, 24 wire stainless steel snare wires and die cast hoops. Its tension lugs feature internal TuneSafe. The Dave Langguth Special Edition Snare is being sold for a retail price of $2,999.

The second one is the Gavin Harrison Special Edition Snare. Gavin Harrison is a British drummer and percussionist best-known for playing with the British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree which he joined in 2002. As of 2008, he also plays with the band King Crimson. His snare features 9 ply, 12”x 5” North American Maple shell with a white sparkle finish as well. This snare drum comes with Designer-based Series Chrome hardware, 18 wire stainless steel snare wires and 2.3mm Power Hoops. Its tension lugs features external TuneSafe. When asked about his Special Edition snare, Gavin comments - “I believe every drummer has an inner voice they’re trying to convey. Sonor drums articulate that inner voice and help me express my true ‘drum personality’. Sonor drums speak my language.” Gavin’s “inner voice” can be purchase by a retail price of $1,499.
