Drum Channel Releases Three New DVDs

Continuing their exceptional collection of DVDs featuring interviews and performances of some of the most incredible drummers of our times, Drum Channel is releasing three brand new DVDs for this last quarter of 2010. The first one, titled simply Mike Portnoy, is a special Drum Channel event released to DVD where the man responsible for the ingeniously intricate Dream Theater beats is brought together with Terry Bozzio on his Drum Channel show, “The Art Of Drumming”, for a candid conversation and an incredibly musical and entertaining drum jam. Drum Channel’s Mike Portnoy is retailing for $24.95.
The second release is a package of 3 DVDs: Terry Bozzio: Melodic Drumming and The Ostinato, Vols. 1, 2, and 3. These have been re-released and remastered in 5.1 surround sound, and feature world famous drummer Terry Bozzio at one of his best works. With groundbreaking ideas and a revolutionary approach to the drum set, this opus contains hundreds of demonstrations, examples and exercises accompanied by clear explanations of Terry’s radical techniques. It retails for $39.95.
Stephen Perkins: Hands*Feet*Mind*Soul features the Jane’s Addiction drummer breaking down the drum parts from eleven classic Jane’s songs. His thorough analysis goes beyond just expanding one’s vocabulary of beats, but delves into the finer questions of how he chose each part and how they set the foundation for each song. This two-disc set includes a downloadable workbook and play-along tracks featuring bassist Tony Franklin. Stephen Perkins: Hands* Feet*Mind*Soul is hitting the market for a price of $19.95.
