eMedia Releases 3 New Instructional DVDs in the Licks You Must Know Line

Shredders and members of the funkadelic nation will finally get their due from eMedia Music Corporation, who only this past week added three new DVDs to their Guitar Lab series, which already includes 50 Acoustic Guitar Licks You Must Know, 50 Blues Guitar Licks You Must Know, 50 Country Guitar Licks You Must Know, 50 Jazz Guitar Licks You Must Know, 50 Rock Guitar Licks You Must Know, and Learn Guitar in 21 Days. The three new DVDs, 50 Funk Licks You Must Know, 50 Shred Licks You Must Know, and 50 Metal Licks You Must Know, will be in stores on the 18th of this month. All eMedia Guitar Lab CD/DVD packs feature picture-in-picture video to watch the guitar player's fretting and picking hands, as well as copies of the exercises in standard notation, tab, power tab files, practice rhythm tracks, and bonus material for an experience tailored to any guitar player's learning style.

50 Funk Licks You Must Know features Guitar Player and Guitar World writer Chris Buono, who has also written and made videos for eMedia and TrueFire in the past, with over a dozen under his belt. His chosen phrases, concepts, and techniques will set you up with the tools and vocabulary to push your funk chops to the next level.

Also written by Chris Buono, 50 Metal Licks You Must Know is a stamina, speed, and power workout across the landscape of modern and classic metal. Drawing on his work as a professor at the famed Berklee College of Music, Chris Buono comes out with 50 phrases, riffs, tips, and tricks to put together powerful solos.

50 Shred Licks You Must Know is Jeff Beasley's addition to the course, covering 50 licks from guitarists like Zakk Wylde, Paul Gilbert, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. With a B.A. in Music and Classical Guitar, Jeff is also an instructor at the National Guitar Workshop. His collection of licks focuses on versatility and application in a multitude of different contexts as motifs for original improvisations, making them continually useful. Beasley covers Minor, Major, Major 7th, Minor 7th, pentatonic major and minor, scale and arpeggio motifs, right and left-hand techniques, double-stops, melodic development, and a variety of picking techniques.

The eMedia Guitar Lab CD/DVD instructional videos are available with an ESRP of $24.95.
