DigiTech is going green

DigiTech has been proving themselves as an effect pedal company for years with such artists as: Jennifer Batten, Dave Mustaine, Herman Li, Joe satriani, Steve Vai, Dave Martone and many others. Do I have your attention yet!?

Harman is pioneering a new concept in energy efficient audio and infotainment design called GreenEdge. Harman GreenEdge products and systems combine new environmentally friendly design with dramatic energy savings, without compromising the excellent performance for which HARMAN products are known.

On July 14th, as part of its GreenEdge initiative to provide more environmentally friendly products, Harman’s DigiTech announced it is introducing a new power supply for its guitar pedals and stompboxes that provides up to 30 percent more energy efficiency than the previous design. The new power supply is being launched in conjunction with the DigiTech Whammy DT pedal which started shipping in June and will be included with the JamMan looper pedals later this summer.

The new DigiTech energy efficient power supply will be rolled out over the next few months with other products, and will also be available as a separate accessory. The power supply is compatible with all current and previous DigiTech products that use a 9V power supply as well as compatible products from other manufacturers. The impact of these power supplies will bring about a positive environmental change to potentially 1,000,000+ guitar pedals and stompboxes that enter the market each year.

HARMAN designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of audio and infotainment solutions for the automotive, consumer and professional markets supported by 15 leading brands including AKG, HARMAN Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon and Mark Levinson.\
