Warwick Thumb neck through 4 string Reviews
5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this bass a month after purchasing a Musicman Stingray 5 string, because I figured the spacing on a 4 string would be easier to slap/pop on, but after playing the neck thru Warwick, the Music man just didn’t measure up, don’t get me wrong, for $1100 the Stingray is a great bass, but if you can afford it, get the Warwick neck thru Thumb bass, you won’t regret it. But avoid the 5 string Warwick( too neck heavy), besides, after playing a really good 4 string, a five seems like a novelty, B string too rubbery to play effectively.
Warwick has excellent fit/finish/playability/
sound....price? well, ya’ gets what ya’ pay for in life, and the extra $1000 for the neck thru as apposed to the bolt on is really worth it, check it out.
It wasn’t cheap! about $1800 with a gig bag and a case.
Just go try one, I disliked the way it looked before I bought the Musicman Stingray, but after playing it, it’s beautiful.
Buy one if you can afford it...actually, buy one even if you can’t afford it, I did.
