I would choose this guitar if I did not more that 500 dollars to spend. If I had more that 500 dollars to spend, I would buy another Ibanez guitar say for example the Steve Vai guitar. The dual humbucking pickups give that heavy crunch, and the single-coil gives the more classic sound (so you aren't restricted to a certain sound).
