Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

This is simply a great head. It isn't going to match a 100 watt Mesa in volume, but I believe that it could go beyond a Mesa in tone. Plenty of volume for anything, stock tubes sound great, replacing these will only make it sound better. Good settings for country, blues, metal, pop/punk, rock, anything. For the money, I really like this amp. It could be used professionally, and it is. The tone is really good once you put the right tubes in the preamp...and put some EL-34s in the power section and it's incredible sounding when you crank it up.
