Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

Made in 2000, this is a prototype unit. The builder is a friend of mine and he let me demo it in my music store for a couple of weeks.

Very simple, 3 tone controls, fat switch, one volume, one input. works well with strats and les pauls. goes from chunky tweed sounds to near blackface glassiness.

there isnt much I dont like about it, no amp does it all, and this is no exception. The radical styling would probabally keep it from heavy gig use.

Very tough overbuilt boutique amp construction type.
