This is a distortion pedal and not an overdrive pedal. I quickly convinced him to take this pedal back and get a real overdrive pedal. If you are looking for a distortion pedal you would be much better off buying the DS-1 pedal as it is also a good distortion only pedal and you can pick it up for less than half of what the OS-2 will set you back...
