I am a student, musician, writer, and pretty good line dancer residing in beautiful Nashville, TN. I've been a drummer and guitar player on and off for the past 10 years of my life and have began engineering and producing in the past 4. I currently play drums for the band Brookline and you can see me rockin' an Orange County Drum and Percussion or Mapex kit decked out with Zildjian K Hybrids.
I bought this from Guitar Center a few years back for right around $15 so I would have something to hold my drinks during the longer gigs.

I normally wouldn't write a review about something that seems so simple but I have had drink holders in the past the broke after 3 gigs or slipped down the stand throughout the performance. This drink holder grips tight and does what it is made to do. Never slides down the stand - even when it gets wet.
This cup holder in constructed from a sturdy metal covered in some sort of rubberized gripping material.
Bottom Line? Stay away from the cheaper substitutes for this drink holder - your drink will end up on the floor. The SwirlyGig Microphone Drink Holder is the best option for the drinkin' musician. AlexV rated this unit on 2010-03-31.
