The book is a work of art, worth the price for the excellent pictures of Benedetto's guitars. It is an excellent reference to build your first guitar.

He does skip over critical steps. Using his video (I've heard, I haven't bought the $80/9 hour video yet) is very helpful, as are otyher references like Frets. com and MIMF.com.

Even in soft cover, it's a beautiful book, with glossy pages.

If you're interested in archtop construction at all, this is the best resource.
