You are pretty restricted with what styles of music you can do with a guitar like this. Even in the studio it's off limits for anything other than rock or metal. This is one of the few shred guitars that is still USA made. Many of the people building them now are the same people who built them 20 years ago. The quality was there then and its still there now. The SL-1 is a guitar that is made to play and build to play anything. [read more on Audiofanzine]

If you're looking for one of the most versatile guitars that Jackson has to offer, you should really check this model out. While I generally prefer the Dinky guitars due to their bolt-on construction, the Jackson Soloist is a great guitar that should be able to do nearly any style you'd like. [read more on Audiofanzine]

If you want a great guitar for shredding, this is the one to have. I only wish it had come with EMG's in it, the only thing I would change. All around though, a fine instrument, and it's made in the U.S., what more could you want? [read more on Audiofanzine]
