I bought this unit second hand. It was about one month old (if you call that second hand!!!) from a friend who upgraded to a GT 6 (lucky dog!!!).
For those of you who are into rock n roll, blues etc.(stuff like Led Zepp, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Stevie Ray Vaughan) this unit is ideal. There is no other pedal that can offer this sort delay, clarity as the AX100
The expression pedal rules and has enough up and down movement. For live gigs this unit is great. The factory settings are amazing. Brilliant for melody...delay clarity to sum it up.
Distortion really isnt up to the mark. The zoom 606 is a much better alternative in terms of distortion. It isnt as easy as the 606 to program. You kinduf struggle to reach the exact tone you require. For palm-muting.....finger tapping you need to spend a lot of time with it to reach the exact effect you desire.
5 out of 5 in terms of contruction. Very sturdy.
If you are CHIEFLY into thrash metal(old metallica,slayer,anthrax), the zoom 606 is a better alternative.
For absolutely ANYthing and EVERYthing else (tone, clarity ,delay, quality, class)this is the best buy.
