Overall this is a great sounding amp at a decent price. If you can pick one up used they are an extreme bargain. I wouldn?t worry about picking one up that has been around the block either, because they are tough amps. For me this isn't my favorite amp from Peavey, but it is a decent amp. At new these amps come in at around $650. Not a bad price for two channel tweed deluxe style amplifier. You will get a very usable clean tone and a solid distortion tone fit for classic rock, country, and pop music. I would recommend this amp to anyone who needs a good tw... I've had my Peavey Classic 30 for quite a while. What I like most about it is that I can play Hank Marvin Shadow's lead/melody style guitar well through it set on the clean channel (with added delay) since the EL84 tubes compress nicely. The botom line is that this amp is an excellent value for an all tube combo. All my previous amps were solid state and I was looking for something that could give more tonal control through the use of dynamics. This thing does it.
