Quik-Lok QL642 Reviews 4

I first bought the stand about 15 years ago. At that stage I had just bought a Roland Piano and it was fairly weighty. I was looking for a stand that would take the weight and also the up's and down of being on the road. After looking at a few options, I settled on the Quik-Lok system, at that stage I paid around $120.oo. I bought it in Australia and it's still going!

I like the stand for a few reasons. Firstly it is very fast and easy to set up and take down. Secondly, after 15 years of touring and heavy work, it is still in one piece and doesn't ever look like breaking down on me. Thirdly, the fact that it is compact and easy to move and can fit in places that normaly I couldn't set I keyboard up in. Moreover, storage isn't a problem as it folds away neatly and can be stored easily whether at home or on a tour. This was a major factor with acquiring this particular product.

The only thing that I didn't like about the unit was that you have to be very carefull how you do up the second rack. If you don't put the thread in straight then the thread is stuffed and won't be usable. I had to re-tap the thread one time before a gig and ended up being a little pushed for time.

The construction of the stand is of great quality adn as I have said, after 15 years of touring, still going strong.

In closing, I would recomend and serious keyboard player take a look at the Quik-Lok system, it's worth a look, I don't think you will be disapointed.
